Holders England will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to France in their opening game of Group D at the UEFA Women's European Championships in Switzerland when they take on the Netherlands on Wednesday evening. The Dutch overcame Wales 3-0 in their group stage opener, and know that another win for themselves here would knock the Lionesses out of the competition.

Given how the past few H2Hs have gone, we should expect plenty of goals in this clash between two of the heavyweights of women's international football. England have had the better of the most recent meetings, and with their place in the tournament at stake and a chance to defend their crown, head coach Sarina Wiegman will surely have them well up for this clash against her fellow Dutch counterparts.

Player to watch: Ella Toone
Perhaps surprisingly, Ella Toone was dropped to the bench for England for their game against France despite scoring a brace in the Lionesses' 7-0 demolition of Jamaica just before the tournament started. She was replaced by Lauren James, who has only just come back from injury.

However, given England's disappointment of losing to France, Wiegman could be tempted to bring Toone straight back in. The Manchester United attacking midfielder scored a total of five goals and made a further two assists in the Women's Super League (WSL) this season.
