Everton start their preparations for the new season with a friendly against Dundee at Dens Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees missed out on European football by just four points last season, and will be hoping to close that gap in the Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Dundee's campaign has already begun with Scottish League Cup group games, both of which they have won.

Dundee finished eighth in the Scottish Premiership last season, two places higher than they finished in 2024/25.
While their 2026/27 league campaign is yet to get underway, Steven Pressley’s side have already played twice in the Scottish League Cup, winning both group matches.
The Dark Blues played four pre-season friendlies before that an only won one of them though, while none of the teams they have played against represent anywhere near the level Everton are.
Fin Robertson remains an injury doubt for Dundee heading into this fixture, although new signing Alan Forrest is in line to make his debut.
One disadvantage Everton have is that this will be their first pre-season game, and they are yet to play any competitive matches since ending the last Premier League campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Tottenham, which helped keep Spurs up.
The likes of number one goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will also be unavailable to David Moyes as he prepares for a third-place play-off with France for England at the World Cup.
However, the Scotsman could call upon new signings Hayden Hackney and Tyrique George, with the latter joining on a permanent move after his loan spell on Merseyside.
A mixed side blended with youth and experience is expected to be fielded by Everton, who should still possess too much quality for Dundee.
