Eddie Nketiah to score anytime

Nketiah averages around a goal every other game across his FA Cup career, and will be desperate to score.

Doncaster Rovers welcome south London's Crystal Palace to the north in Monday night's FA Cup action, with the Yorkshire aiming for an upset. Read on for our Doncaster vs Crystal Palace predictions and more.

Doncaster vs Crystal Palace prediction: Could there be a giant killing?

Key facts:

  • Palace and Doncaster both have four wins in their last five matches.
  • Palace have kept four away clean sheets in a row.
  • Doncaster have scored in eight matches in a row.

Correct score prediction: Doncaster 0-2 Crystal Palace

Both sides come into this one in good form, and Doncaster will certainly be keen to spring a surprise on their visitors. But we find it hard to look past Palace's quality, and excellent away form in this one.

Doncaster won't make life easy, but Palace will run out winners.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Premier League privilege

AWAY: 1/4 (1.25) – 80.0%

The bookmakers' expected winner is, Crystal Palace. Their odds of 1/4  imply an 80% likelihood of victory. Given the gulf in quality between the two sides, we agree.

Recent H2Hs: Rovers in with a chance?

Despite a three-league chasm between the two sides, Doncaster have only lost two of their last five against Palace.

The two were once regular Championship opponents, though Palace ran out 2-0 winners back in a 2019 FA Cup matchup.

Doncaster preview: Can they go one better?

Doncaster edged out Championship side Hull City in the third round last month, coming from behind to win on penalties.

That win inspired a winning run for Rovers, with four wins on the spin following that away win. That run did come to an end with a 5-2 away loss to Chesterfield last time out, however.

With home support behind them, Doncaster will hope to put that disappointment behind them in style. We expect those who played at Hull to play again, fitness permitting.

Predicted lineup: Sharman-Lowe (GK), Sterry, Olowu, McGrath, Maxwell, Bailey, Broadbent, Molyneux, Street, Sbarra, Sharp

Crystal Palace preview: Away day warriors

Following a rocky start to 2024/25, Oliver Glasner has successfully steadied the Crystal Palace ship. Since back-to-back defeats to Arsenal in December, the Eagles have lost just one in eight.

Their away form has been incredible, keeping four consecutive clean sheets on the road. The highlight of that run came last week away to Manchester United.

Palace saw off Stockport with a 1-0 win in the third round with a heavily rotated side. We expect a similar setup on Monday night.

Predicted lineup: Turner (GK), Richards, Riad, Guehi, Clyne, Kamada, Lerma, Mitchell, Devenny, Eze, Nketiah

Player to watch: Eddie Nketiah

There was much fanfare when former Arsenal man Eddie Nketiah joined Crystal Palace last summer. But so far, the Englishman has struggled to deliver, with Jean Phillipe-Mateta keeping him out of the lineup.

This match represents a chance for Nketiah to rebuild his form. And with a record of 0.47 goals per 90 minutes in his FA Cup career, we think he might just do it on Monday night.
