Both Crystal Palace and Millwall will meet in a pre-season friendly at Selhurst Park on Saturday, just a few months after the two London clubs played against each other in the FA Cup. That ended in a 3-1 victory for the Premier League side, and of course that set them on their way to lifting what was a historic first-ever major trophy.
Winning the FA Cup also qualified Palace for European football for the first time in their history, but there are currently disputes going on over whether they will play in the UEFA Europa League (UEL), UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) or not play in Europe at all, due to ongoing conflicts over multi-club ownership with French Ligue 1 side Lyon. Nonetheless, they are set to take part in their first pre-season friendly ahead of the new 2025/26 campaign, as are Millwall, fresh from another season spent in the Championship.

Crystal Palace vs Millwall prediction: Premier League side should prosper
Key stats
- Palace are currently on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions dating back to the 2024/25 campaign.
- Millwall have gone 14 matches in all competitions without a draw.
- The last five H2Hs have produced a total of 17 goals.
Correct score prediction: Crystal Palace 3-1 Millwall
Palace should be firm favourites to claim all three points on home soil, especially against opposition from an inferior league. The FA Cup tie back in March should give a decent indication of where both clubs are at, and we could well see a repeat of the same scoreline when the two teams clash again on Saturday.
Given that both teams have scored in the previous three H2Hs, that should offer Millwall some confidence of perhaps pulling off a shock result. However, Palace won all three of those matches, and are unbeaten in the previous eight meetings in total between the two sides, which should give them a further edge.

Most recent H2Hs: Palace aiming for five in a row
Palace have won the previous four H2Hs in all competitions against Millwall, including their FA Cup triumph back in March. Their unbeaten streak against the Lions stretches further to eight meetings in all competitions, which suggests that another positive result for the Eagles should be expected.

Player to watch: Eberechi Eze
Eberechi Eze has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window. Arsenal are among the clubs that are reportedly strongly interested in his signature.

Until any deal materialises though, Eagles fans will want to see Eze continue to thrive in a Palace shirt. Should he play against Millwall, the Lions may struggle to live with him.
