Criciuma vs Gremio prediction: Goals at both ends anticipated
Key Stats
- Ten of Criciuma’s 11 home games this season have featured goals at both ends.
- Gremio avoided defeat in each of their last three away assignments in Serie A, winning twice along the way.
- Three of Criciuma’s last six home matches finished all square at 1-1.
- Gremio have lost only one of their last four encounters with Criciuma
Correct score prediction: Criciuma 1-1 Gremio
Criciuma are a tough nut to crack on home soil, though they have picked up a drawing habit at the Estádio Heriberto Hülse and three of their last six fixtures there have finished 1-1. A similar outcome looks possible when they host a Gremio side in the midst of a three-game unbeaten run on the road.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Criciuma listed as favourites
- HOME: 31/20 (2.55) – 39.2%
- DRAW: 9/4 (3.25) – 30.8%
- AWAY: 15/8 (2.88) – 34.8%
*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
Criciuma are unbeaten in eight games at home and are the 31/20 favourites to win on Sunday, however, five of those matches finished level and that record suggests the door could be open for Gremio to leave with something on Sunday.
Gremio claimed seven points from their last three away games despite facing some tricky opponents and to our mind at least, they look undercooked at 15/8 in the match result markets for Sunday. Read more of our latest South American predictions on our free football tips page.

Player to watch – Martin Braithwaite
The summer capture of Danish international attacker Martin Braithwaite was considered a coup for Gremio and the 33-year-old announced himself in fine style in Brazil when he scored twice on his Serie A debut against Cuiaba on August 10th.
Braithwaite brings international class to Gremio
Braithwaite has failed to score since netting his debut brace, though the veteran still has class in reserve and he could pick things up on Sunday against Criciuma. The forward, who played for Barcelona earlier in his career, looks like a potential match-winner for Gremio this weekend.
