🔥 Our Hot tip

BTTS - yes

Both teams have scored in four of Everton's last five matches

Neither of these two sides have made a good start to their pre-season friendlies but we are expecting a close and competitive 90 minutes at The Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday night.

Everton will be hoping to welcome back a few of their previously injured and international players who have been given an extended rest in the early stages of pre-season, while the Coventry fans will be excited to see their side back at home following three away games against Getafe, Stevenage and Darmstadt.

Coventry vs Everton prediction: Will the goals flow?

Key Stats

  • Both teams have scored in three of Coventry's last five outings.
  • Over 2.5 goals have been scored in three of the Sky Blues' last five fixtures.
  • At least three goals have been produced in each of Everton's last three outings.

Correct score prediction: Coventry 2-2 Everton

Everton have conceded at least two goals in each of their last three outings and haven't looked as strong at the back without the likes of James Tarkowski and Jarred Branthwaite but still have plenty of quality going forward to hurt their Championship hosts.

Everton preview: The Toffees could give a debut to Jesper Lindstrøm

Everton are yet to win a game in pre-season, drawing with Sligo Rovers and losing against Salford City but the summer has seen the Toffees improve their squad.

Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and now Jesper Lindstrom have all come into the team to provide more competition in midfield and across the frontline.

Lindstrom, who arrived on loan from Napoli, is a Danish international that has pace and can score goals as well as providing assists, something that Everton were crying out for last season.

Predicted lineup: Virginia (GK), Young, Holgate, Keane, Coleman, Garner, Iroegbunam, Doucoure, Harrison, McNeil & Chermiti

Player to watch – Jesper Lindstrøm

Everton's latest summer signing will be hoping to play some part against Coventry on Tuesday night but is unlikely to start the game.

The 24-year-old made his name at Brondby before being signed by Bundesliga side Frankfurt where he continued to score and create goals.

Everton fans will be excited to see their latest recruit make his debut

However, a move to Napoli last summer has failed to work out with the Dnaish international only starting twice in Serie A. The Everton fans will be excited by their new singing who offers a lot of what they have been crying out for this summer, pace, goals and creativity with the ability to play in a number of positions.
