Correct score prediction: Columbus Crew 2-2 Vancouver Whitecaps

Columbus Crew have struggled to find their best form of late, as they have no wins in their last six matches (D4, L2).
Wilfried Nancy’s troops are sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 7-7-3 win-draw-loss record.
On the other hand, Vancouver Whitecaps are leading the Western Conference Standings, having won 10 of 16 league matches this season (D5, L1). They are also unbeaten in their last 11 league games.
Despite their recent shortcomings, Columbus Crew are the expected winners at 3/4 (1.75). Teams with these odds generally have a 57.1% probability of winning.

Most recent H2Hs: A fairly one-sided affair
Although Vancouver Whitecaps suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat in their last encounter with Columbus Crew, they have lost only once in the last 10 clashes between these sides (W5, D4).

Columbus Crew preview: Hoping to get back to winning ways
Long-term absentee centre-back, Rudy Camacho, remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. Goalkeeper Patrick Schulte has missed the last three games for Columbus Crew due to abdominal muscle problems, while midfielder Sean Zawadzski, with knee problems, has been out of action for the last two matches.
Also, newly injured defender Malte Amundsen is doubtful for this contest following his ninth-minute injury in the 5-1 defeat to Inter Miami last time.
Coach Wilfried Nancy is still expected to employ a 3-4-2-1 formation which he used for the last two games, with Nigerian striker Ibrahim Aliyu leading the line.
Predicted lineup: Hagen (GK), Ruvalcaba, Cheberko, Moreira, Farsi, Nagbe, Chambost, Arfsten, Gazdag, Rossi & Aliyu.

Vancouver Whitecaps preview: Looking to extend their unbeaten run
A long list of players, including Brian White, Sebastian Berhalter, Pedro Vite, Jayden Nelson, Tate Johnson, Andres Cubas, and Ali Ahmed were not available for Vancouver Whitecaps in their last outing due to international engagements, but should all be back for this game.
Ryan Gauld remains sidelined with a knee injury. The Scottish forward has missed the last 20 games for the visiting team because of this setback.
Midfielders Ralph Priso and Sebastian Berhalter are walking a tightrope, as they are just one yellow card away from suspension.
Jesper Sorensen’s troops have lost only once in their last 17 games across all competitions, while unbeaten in their last 11 MLS games, keeping them first in the Western Conference table and top of the overall standings.
Although the Danish gaffer employed a 5-4-1 formation last time because a large chunk of his players were on national duty, he is expected to revert to his preferred 4-3-3 setup this weekend.
Predicted lineup: Takaoka (GK), Laborda, Utvik, Veselinovic, Blackmon, Ocampo, Ngando, Priso, Badwal, Sabbi & Rios.

Player to watch: Diego Rossi

Not only is Diego Rossi Columbus Crew's top scorer with eight goals, but he has also scored in each of the team's last three home games. It will be interesting to see if that streak continues this weekend.
