0Club Brugge are set to take on Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday, 10 December with both teams still very much in the hunt for qualification.
The hosts are currently in 22nd position in the Champions League table but are only inside the qualification spots by three points so a loss on Tuesday could see them drop out.
Sporting Lisbon, meanwhile, are still trying to finish inside the top eight. The Portuguese side are currently in tenth position and a win would leave them on 13 points with two games to go.
As part of this week's round of Champions League betting tips, here is our Club Brugge vs Sporting Lisbon prediction.

Key stats

- Both teams have scored in each of Club Brugge's last four matches in all competitions.
Correct score prediction: Club Brugge 2-1 Sporting Lisbon
Earlier in the season, we'd have backed Sporting Lisbon to comfortably win this match but things in Lisbon have flipped on their head since Ruben Amorim departed for Manchester United. They have lost three of the four matches they've played under Joao Pereira and another one is on the cards this week.

Most recent H2Hs: A first-ever competitive meeting
This will be the first time that Club Brugge and Sporting Lisbon have ever faced each other in a competitive match which adds an element of the unknown for both sides. They have met in a friendly match in recent times, though, with the two teams playing out a 2-2 draw in the summer of 2019.

Club Brugge preview: Looking to build on recent performances
Club Brugge come into this match in the best form they've been in all season which should fill them with confidence ahead of kick-off. They've only ever qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League once before but a win on Tuesday would put them in a great position to do it again this season.

Sporting Lisbon preview: Pressure is already building on Ferreira
Joao Ferreira would have been hoping to simply pick up where Ruben Amorim left off but that hasn't been the case so far for the young manager. The success that Amorim brought to the club means that Ferreira is constantly going to be compared to him so he could do with a big win in Europe to alleviate some pressure.
Predicted lineup: Kovacevic (GK), St Juste, Diomande, Inacio, Quenda, Morita, Hjulmand, Araujo, Trincao, Gyokeres, Edwards

Player to watch: Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres is one of several players whose form has dipped since the departure of Ruben Amorim but given the headlines the Swede was previously making, his drop-off is the most alarming. Gyokeres hasn't scored a goal in open play in any of the four matches under Joao Ferreira and he will want to put that right this week.
