Immortality potentially awaits Paris Saint-Germain when they face Chelsea in the final of the Club World Cup at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.
Luis Enrique’s men have the opportunity to complete a quintet of major honours this season, after sweeping up all three domestic trophies and the Champions League earlier this year.

Chelsea vs PSG prediction: European champions to complete perfect season
Key stats
- PSG have won 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions.
- Chelsea have scored just one goal or less in five of their last six matches against European opponents.
- All of PSG’s last seven wins have been accompanied by a clean sheet.
Correct score prediction: Chelsea 0-2 PSG
Apart from a minor blip against Botafogo in the group stages, PSG have been utterly unstoppable, not just at the Club World Cup, but in 2025 as a whole, and it will take a monumental effort from Chelsea to stop them in their tracks this weekend.

Pre-game odds and win probability: PSG the clear favourites
- HOME: 19/5 (4.80) – 20.8%
- DRAW: 10/3 (4.33) – 23.1%
- AWAY: 3/5 (1.60) – 62.5%
*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
The bookies share the same view that PSG will romp home with the Club World Cup title on Sunday, with an implied probability of 62.5% to win in 90 minutes, and they are, of course, an even shorter price to lift the trophy, at 3/10.
PSG’s fearsome attack means the goal and handicap markets offer great value too, with a win for the Parisians by two or more goals being priced at 6/4.

Most recent H2Hs: PSG have the slight edge across close history
This will be the first meeting between the sides since 2016, when PSG knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage, and the French club have the slight edge in the overall head-to-head.
Despite losing the first meeting 3-0 at home in 2004, PSG have won three to Chelsea’s two across their 10 meetings, while two draws in the last 16 of the Champions League in 2014-15 also saw the French club prevail on away goals.
Chelsea preview: New boy to keep his place after dream debut
Enzo Maresca will be able to welcome Levi Colwill back into the centre of his defence after suspension, and the same can be said for Liam Delap up front, but after Joao Pedro scored twice on his debut against Fluminense, the Brazilian is set to keep his place in the XI.
Reece James is battling to be fit enough to start this one, while Moises Caicedo picked up a slight issue on Tuesday, which raises doubts about any involvement he may play in the final.
Predicted lineup: Sanchez (GK), Gusto, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella, Caicedo, Enzo, Palmer, Nkunku, Joao Pedro & Neto

PSG preview: Two defenders remain suspended
PSG will remain without defensive pair Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez due to suspension, after they were both sent off in the latter stages of their win over Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
Ousmane Dembele made his first start of the tournament against Real Madrid on Wednesday, and marked it with a goal and an assist, so there is no doubt he will be in from the start again.
Predicted lineup: Donnarumma (GK), Hakimi, Marquinhos, Lucas Beraldo, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz, Doue, Dembele & Kvaratskhelia

Player to watch: Achraf Hakimi
There are so many stars in the PSG team, it is tough to single out just one to watch, but Hakimi has been part of a defence that has only conceded one goal at the tournament, and his offensive output has been superb.
Hakimi’s assist on Wednesday in the semi-final means he has now contributed to a goal and kept a clean sheet in PSG’s last four games, scoring two and assisting two.
