Chelsea vs Bournemouth prediction: A home win expected?
Key Stats
- Bournemouth are without their first and second-choice strikers due to injury.
- Under 2.5 goals have been produced in three of the last five league meetings between these two clubs.
- Three of Chelsea's last five fixtures have witnessed fewer than three goals.
- Three of Bournemouth's last six matches have produced under 2.5 goals.
Correct score prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Bournemouth
While Bournemouth had no problems scoring five times in the FA Cup against Championship side West Brom without their two injured strikers, we expect the Cherries to struggle against a tougher defence at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night. The hosts have scored 12 goals in their last six matches which makes for an average of two goals per game and that is why we're backing a 2-0 home win for the Blues.

In what turned out to be Sean Dyche's last game in charge of Everton, Bournemouth claimed a 1-0 win at the Vitality Stadium.

Despite being without the injured Evanilson, Marcos Senesi, Julian Araujo, Alex Scott, Marcus Tavernier, Adam Smith, Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal, the Cherries thrashed West Brom 5-1 on Saturday in the FA Cup.

Player to watch: Jadon Sancho
Jadon Sancho hasn't been the same player since leaving Borussia Dortmund in 2021 when he made the move to Manchester United but his loan spell at Chelsea this season has seen the former England winger edge closer back to his best.

Sancho, 24, has particularly built up a promising partnership with Cole Palmer and has managed to chip in with four assists in the Premier League this season.
Sancho is building a strong partnership with Cola Palmer
We're backing Sancho to be at his creative best once again this weekend when Bournemouth make the trip to Stamford Bridge.
