Bournemouth to win (+1.5 handicap)

Chelsea have only won one of their last six Premier League matches by a margin of two goals or more.

Chelsea will take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, 30 December, as part of the final round of 2025 Premier League fixtures.

Neither side come into the match in great form, and both could do with a good performance to give them some momentum as we enter the new year.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Chelsea vs Bournemouth prediction below.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth prediction: The hosts to scrape through

Key Stats

  • Chelsea have won just one of their last six Premier League matches.
  • Bournemouth haven't won any of their last nine Premier League matches.
  • More than two goals have been scored in each of Chelsea's last three matches in all competitions.

Correct score prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth

Chelsea's form since beating Barcelona in the Champions League has been alarming, and there is now pressure on Enzo Maresca for the first time. The Blues should have enough here, more because Bournemouth have been even worse of late.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Chelsea start as favourites

  • HOME: 4/7 (1.57) – 63.6%
  • DRAW: 16/5 (4.20) 23.8%
  • AWAY: 17/4 (5.25) – 19%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

The Chelsea vs Bournemouth odds are weighted in favour of the Blues. Ladbrokes have given Chelsea a 63.6% chance of winning the match, while Bournemouth have been given just a 19% chance of victory.

You can find all our predictions for today's games on our football betting tips page.

Most recent H2Hs: Value on the draw

Ladbrokes' price of 17/4 on the draw looks very appealing when you consider that three of the last five matches between Chelsea and Bournemouth have finished all square, including both Premier League clashes last season. The Cherries haven't won at Stamford Bridge since December 2019.

Predicted lineup: Sanchez (GK), James, Fofana, Chalobah, Gusto, Caicedo, Fernandez, Neto, Palmer, Garnacho, Pedro

Last five results

Bournemouth preview: Changes expected

Following their 4-1 defeat against Brentford, Iraola will almost certainly make changes to this starting XI here. Evanilson and David Brooks should both come into the team, but the Spaniard will be without Tyler Adams, Ben Gannon-Doak, Veljko Milosavljevic and Matai Akinmboni.

Predicted lineup: Petrovic (GK), Jimenez, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Cook, Brooks, Kluivert, Semenyo, Evanilson

Last five results

  • Brentford 4-1 Bournemouth
  • Bournemouth 1-1 Burnley
  • Man Utd 4-4 Bournemouth
  • Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea
  • Bournemouth 0-1 Everton

Player to watch: Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer is going through the most frustrating spell of his career to date, with the 23-year-old yet to rediscover his best form since returning from injury at the end of November. Palmer has just one goal to his name since his return and he will be keen to add to that tally on Tuesday night.
