Charlotte preview: Hoping to halt their unwanted streak

It still appears to be a long road to recovery for Charlotte, whose 3-2 loss at Chicago extended their losing run to three games. However, all three defeats came on the road, and Dean Smith's men will look to return to winning ways at home this weekend.

Defender Souleyman Doumbia sustained an 18th-minute injury last Sunday in the loss to Chicago and remains questionable for this home game. Nicholas Scardina, who replaced him, could be in line to start this weekend should Doumbia be ruled unfit.

The team's top marksman, Patrick Agyemang, has been out of action for over a month as he has been with the national team for the Gold Cup. In his absence, Pep Biel and Wilfried Zaha have delivered goals and assists, but recent losses have been a major setback to the club's playoff aspirations, even though they are within reach.

Predicted lineup: Kahlina (GK), Scardina, Privett, Malanda, Marshall-Rutty, Bronico, Westwood, Zaha, Biel, Abada & Jorno.

Orlando City preview: A few absentees

As for Orlando City, back-to-back wins in the past few weeks looked to have given them winning momentum before high-flying FC Cincinnati handed them a 2-1 defeat at home last time out. Now, the Lions will be eager to return to winning ways to keep strengthening their place in the top 8.

The team's top performer this season, Martin Ojeda, who has bagged 9 goals, is on a two-game goal drought, but has delivered an assist each in his last two outings.

Expected to be out of this clash due to injuries include Yutaro Tsukada, Duncan McGuire and Wilder Cartagena.

Predicted lineup: Gallese (GK), Porhallsson, Schlegel, Jansson, Brekalo, Pasalic, Atuesta, Araujo, Angulo, Ojeda & Enrique.

Martin Ojeda has put in some impressive performances in recent weeks, with at least one direct goal involvement in each of his last four appearances. The Argentine midfielder will look to extend that streak to five games this weekend.
