Correct score prediction: Charlotte 3-1 DC United

DC United are currently on a six-match winless streak in which they suffered five defeats, conceding almost three goals per game in the process.

On the other hand, Charlotte have been one of the best home teams in the Eastern Conference with a 7-1-2 win-draw-loss record. They have scored just over two goals per game at the Bank of America Stadium this season.

Considering DC United's recent struggles, we are confident that Charlotte will emerge victorious.

Charlotte preview: Eyeing back-to-back wins for the first time since April

The Crown have found a bit of consistency in recent games, picking up a 2-2 draw with Orlando and a 2-0 win on Sunday against New York City. A victory on Thursday against DC United could see Charlotte enter the automatic playoff spots if other results go their way.

With no fresh injuries going into this contest, defender Nathan Byrne remains the only absentee for Charlotte.

Idan Jorno and Kerwin Vargas got their fourth and third MLS goals of the season in last weekend's win over New York City, which means six members of the team now have at least three goals going into this round of games.

Predicted lineup: Kahlina (GK), Tuiloma, Malanda, Privett, Marshall-Rutty, Vargas, Westwood, Bronico, Zaha, Biel & Jorno.

DC United preview: Hoping to halt their unwanted streak

DC United followed up their US Open Cup defeat at Nashville with another loss over the weekend, this time against Los Angeles Galaxy in the league, marking a fifth defeat in their last six games (D1, L5).

Looking to halt their poor run of form, the visitors will have their work cut out for them, having only picked up maximum points twice in their last 10 trips, whilst losing on six occasions.

On the positive side, coach Kevin Flanagan will not have selection issues aside from Kristian Fletcher, who has been sidelined since 15 June.

Predicted lineup: Barraza (GK), Schnegg, Rowles, Bartlett, Herrera, Enow, Peglow, Pirani, Hopkins, Kijima & Badji.
