Lazio vs Celtic Team News & Injuries
Read all of the latest injury updates, Lazio vs Celtic lineups and team news for Tuesday’s Champions League fixture below.
Lazio
Defenders Alessio Romagnoli and Nicolo Casale are out injured for Lazio though the hosts have little to trouble them in terms of personnel issues elsewhere. Lazio lost 2-1 at Salernitana at the weekend in a surprise reverse.
Predicted Lineup for Lazio: Provedel – Lazzari, Patric, Gila, Marusic – Guendouzi, Cataldi, Kamada – Anderson, Zaccagni, Immobile
Celtic
Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Liel Abada and James McCarthy are out of action for Celtic at present. Celtic dropped points at home to Motherwell in the Premiership in their last assignment and the Scottish giants could struggle again in Rome.
Predicted Lineup for Celtic: Hart – Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor – O'Riley, McGregor, Holm – Hyun-Jun, Palma, Furuhashi
Players to Watch
Lazio: Ciro Immobile
Veteran talisman Ciro Immobile was Lazio’s match-winning hero in the last round of Group E fixtures when he netted the game’s only goal in the Biancocelesti’s narrow triumph over Feyenoord. The 33-year-old has bags of top-level experience and he will be determined to make a splash again on Tuesday. Immobile had his poorest goals return in a Lazio shirt last season, scoring twelve times in Serie A but has scored four times in eight starts this time around. Immobile might be coming towards the end of his playing career but he still has plenty to offer at the highest level and as long as he can avoid any serious injuries, we're sure he will continue to torment defenses into his late 30s.
Celtic: Kyogo Furuhashi
Celtic's Japanese international striker has taken to the Scottish league like a duck to water. The former Vissel Kobe forward netted twelve league goals in twenty appearances when he first joined the Scottish giants and in his first full season, scored twenty-seven goals in thirty-six games. This season, Furuhashi has found the back of the net six times in fourteen Premiership games as well as scoring twice in the Champions League. The 28-year-old will no doubt have attracted interest from some of Europe's bigger leagues and could well be subject to transfer bids in January.
