Closing in on a fourth consecutive victory across all competitions, the hosts head into the weekend as one of the most in-form sides in the division, but they now face a sterner challenge in PSV, who will be aiming to reclaim top spot in the league standings.

Cambuur continued their upward trajectory with another dominant team display last Saturday when they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Go Ahead Eagles at Kooi Stadion.
The hosts raced into a three-goal lead in the first half through Ismael Baaf, Jason Ceka and Billy van Duijl before Rafik El Arguioui put the icing on the cake with a well-worked team goal in the 80th minute.
Having gained promotion from the Eerste Divisie last season, Cambuur stumbled into the top-flight campaign, picking up just one point from their opening five matches, including defeats against Excelsior, Fortuna Sittard, Feyenoord and Twente in their opening four games.
However, Johan Plat’s men have bounced back in style, going unbeaten in their subsequent eight matches (5W 3D) to steady their ship, a run which saw them book their spot in the second round of the KNVB Cup courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Kloetinge on October 27.
This fine run of form has seen Cambuur rise into ninth place in the Eredivisie standings, level on 15 points with eighth-placed Groningen, but next up is the challenge of an opposing side, who have won nine of the last 10 meetings between the two teams since February 2014.
PSV Eindhoven have struggled for consistency in the UEFA Champions League, with Peter Bosz’s men falling to a 2-1 defeat against Belgian outfit Club Brugge at the Philips Stadion on Wednesday.
Having defeated Porto 1-0 in matchday three on October 20 to get their first UCL win of the campaign on the board, the Boeren were left empty-handed in midweek when Nicolo Tresoldi and Carlos Forbes netted on either side of Kodai Sano’s 54th-minute equaliser to hand Club Brugge all three points.
Back home, PSV have blown hot and cold in revenge weeks, picking up seven points from their last five Eredivisie matches, but they showed their class last Saturday when seven different players got on the scoresheet in an emphatic 7-0 victory over Willem II at the Philips Stadion.
Despite their recent dip in form, PSV could move top of the Eredivisie this weekend, as they sit third in the league standings, level on 23 points with fourth-placed Twente and two points adrift of league leaders Feyenoord.

Whispers’ prediction: Cambuur 1-2 PSV Eindhoven
With each of the last 10 meetings between Cambuur and PSV Eindhoven seeing at least three goals scored, over 2.5 goals at 7/25 (1.28) is our first pick of the game, while we fancy BTTS – Yes at 11/25 (1.44).
With two wins in their last six games, PSV have struggled for results in recent weeks, but given their away record in this fixture and superior quality across the pitch, we are backing them to secure all three points, which is currently priced at 2/5 (1.40).
PSV to win + BTTS – Yes sits at 6/5 (2.20), which is the high-value punt for us, while the correct score market has a correct score of 1-2 at 17/2 (9.50).
> PSV to win + BTTS – Yes at 17/2 (9.50) | Likelihood: Possible
> Over 2.5 goals at 7/25 (1.28) | Likelihood: Possible
> Correct score: 1-2 at 17/2 (9.50) | Likelihood: Outsider
