Wolves vs Brighton prediction: Goal markets could be profitable
Key Stats
- Both Wolves and Brighton’s Premier League fixtures have been averaging 3.23 goals per game this season.
- Wolves have lost only one of their last six home assignments in the league.
- Eight of Brighton’s last nine matches in the division have produced goals at both ends.
- Each of Danny Welbeck’s last three goals came in away fixtures for Brighton.
Correct score prediction: Wolves 2-2 Brighton
Brighton conceded at least two goals in three of their last four league games, but notched at least twice themselves in all but one of the same matches. In addition, Albion drew 2-2 with Wolves in October’s reverse fixture, so expect another end-to-ender here.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Albion are slight favourites
- HOME: 7/4 (2.75) – 36.4%
- DRAW: 5/2 (3.50) – 28.6%
- AWAY: 7/5 (2.40) – 41.7%
*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
Wolves’ lengthy winning streak came to a halt against Man City last weekend (1-0) and the markets suggest Wanderers have just a 36.4% chance of returning to winning ways at Brighton’s expense.
The Seagulls’ recent form (one win in seven) has been patchy, however, despite their struggles to find consistency, they will kick off Saturday’s game as slight 7/5 favourites. Check out more of our latest football predictions and Premier League analysis on our dedicated page.
Most recent H2Hs: Recent encounters have been goal filled

Player to watch – Yankuba Minteh
Yankuba Minteh’s goal celebration against Newcastle last weekend sparked plenty of debate. Was it a dig at his former club or a slight at current employers, Brighton? Nobody is quite sure, however, the 20-year-old would be wise to let his football do the talking from now on.

Minteh is a player of promise
Minteh has only started 17 times for Brighton in the Premier League this season, though thee wide attacker has chipped in with a goal involvement every 159.2 minutes for Albion which is a more than decent return for a bit-part player.
