After securing a thrilling 5-4 aggregate victory over Roma, Vincenzo Italiano’s side remain the last Italian team standing in this season’s Europa League.

In the league, Bologna endured a difficult spell from mid-December to early February, managing just one win in 10 matches, which left them drifting towards a mid-table finish.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Lazio have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three meetings against Bologna.

However, the Rossoblu have enjoyed a resurgence in recent weeks, recording three consecutive victories before a narrow 2-1 defeat to Verona. They responded well with an away win over Sassuolo and will now aim to carry that momentum into the business end of the season.

With only five wins and as many as seven draws at home this campaign, Bologna must improve their record at the Renato Dall’Ara, although their task will not be easy against a side that has kept 13 clean sheets this season.

Lazio failed to register a league win in February, but their fortunes have improved in March, as they have picked up back-to-back victories following a 2-0 defeat to Torino at the start of the month.

The Biancocelesti played out a 1-1 draw against Bologna in the reverse fixture and also got the better of them on penalties in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Nine of the last 10 meetings between the two sides have produced Under 10.5 corners.

However, Lazio have struggled on their travels to the Renato Dall’Ara, collecting just two points from their last six visits while failing to score in five of those matches.

Lazio will be without several key players for this clash, including Ivan Provedel, Mattia Zaccagni, Nicolo Rovella, Danilo Cataldi and Samuel Gigot, all sidelined through injury.

Whispers Predicts: Bologna 1-1 Lazio

Lazio’s poor record away to Bologna is well documented, but given their recent upturn in form, they may fancy their chances of ending that run. Bologna, meanwhile, must improve their home record, and a draw at 2.9 appears the most likely outcome.

Six of Bologna’s last eight matches have produced fewer than three goals, while the reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 stalemate. As a result, a correct score prediction of 1-1 could be a sensible 6.5 long-shot option.

Despite Lazio’s impressive defensive record overall, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three matches, making BTTS – Yes at 2.0 an appealing bet.
