Inter to score first

Inter Milan have scored the opening goal in each of their last five matches.

Inter Milan will look to round off a superb 2025-26 campaign in style when they travel to face Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Saturday evening.

Cristian Chivu’s side have been outstanding this season, securing the domestic double after clinching the Serie A title for the 21st time in their history with three matches to spare.

Bologna, meanwhile, sit eighth in the table with 51 points from 37 matches and have slim chances of taking the last position in the European places.

Despite falling short of the knockout stages in Europe, Inter Milan have enjoyed a historic campaign, adding the Coppa Italia to their Serie A triumph to complete a domestic double.

For the first time in over a decade, the Nerazzurri have lifted both major domestic trophies in the same season, with the Coppa Italia marking the 10th title of its kind in the club’s history.

Inter’s attacking numbers have been equally impressive, with 86 league goals scored — more than any other side in the division — while they have found the net at least twice in 26 Serie A matches this season.

The Milan giants have won eight of their last nine final league fixtures, although Cristian Chivu could opt to rotate his squad, meaning Inter may be content with a draw rather than pushing at full intensity.

Bologna are unbeaten in their last three matches and have boosted their European hopes with consecutive victories over Napoli and Atalanta.

However, the equation remains complicated, with Bologna needing not only to win but also to make up a significant goal difference swing—potentially requiring a heavy victory while hoping results elsewhere go in their favour.

The Rossoblu have won three of their last four home meetings with Inter Milan, though the visitors could complete a league double over them for the first time since 2021 after recording a 3-1 win in the reverse fixture.

On the injury front, Nicolo Casale, Martin Vitik and Nicolo Cambiaghi remain unavailable, while Jhon Lucumi is back in contention after serving a one-match suspension against Atalanta.

Whispers predicts: Bologna 1-1 Inter Milan

Having already won domestic double, Inter will want to end the season by extending their unbeaten streak to 12 games. A draw at 11/4, are considered favourites by the bookmakers.

The Nerazzurri have failed to keep a clean sheet against Bologna in their last four meetings, and therefore a draw and both teams to score at 7/2 looks a tempting offer.

Inter have been winning the first half in four of their last five matches, and they can be backed to do again at 7/4.
