Best FC 24 Ultimate Team Icons: Play as a 12-year old league champion! – EA FC 24, the rebranded version of past ‘FIFA’ titles, includes 27 brand-new Icons and Heroes in Ultimate Team (UT). There are eight new Icons and 19 new Heroes to choose from.

EA FC 24 Ultimate Team: New Icons
An Icon card is given to a player who has had a significant effect on the game in real life, and was one of the best players of their generation. Although they are retired, these are given stats on their card to reflect their ability when they played at the peak of their powers.
Slightly different to previous ‘FIFA' titles, Icons now link to current players from every league, as well as their own nation, and get full chemistry themselves when in the correct position in your squad.
There are eight new Icons in the game, three men and five women, including:
Mia Hamm, Sir Bobby Charlton, Birgit Prinz, Zico, Homare Sawa, Camille Abily, Kelly Smith and (pictured below) Franck Ribery.
Best FC 24 Ultimate Team Icons – The cream of the crop
Mia Hamm (93)
USA striker Hamm has been given the highest rating of the new Icons – 93 out of a possible 99. She was the first-ever winner of the Women’s World Player of the Year, and the first to lift an official Women’s World Cup trophy back in 1991.
Hamm was also the first woman inducted into the World Football Hall of Fame.
Sir Bobby Charlton (92)
English central attacking midfielder Sir Bobby Charlton is the joint-second highest rated new Icon with a 92 rating. He is one of only nine players to have won the World Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d’Or, and is synonymous with England's sole World Cup victory in 1966.
Birgit Prinz (92)
German striker Prinz is also 92-rated, as she was crowned the Women's World Player of the Year three years in a row, and also won every German Player of the Year award between 2001 and 2008.
Homare Sawa (91)
Japanese central midfielder Sawa is the second women's Icon to feature in this list, and is the only new Asian Icon card. She had a footballing career spanning over 20 years, and won her first league title at the age of 12! At just 15, she scored four times on her international debut, and won the World Cup in 2011 as Japan's captain and the tournament's best player.
Zico (91)
Brazilian central attacking midfielder Zico is 91-rated in the game, and boasts 90+ stats in shooting, passing and dribbling on his face card. He was named South American Footballer of the Year three times in his career, and was famous for his ability from dead balls. You are sure to score plenty of free-kicks with him!
EA FC 24 Ultimate Team: Will there be more Icons?
Like last year's title ‘FIFA 23', expect EA to release more versions of Icons throughout the game cycle, where they will be tailored to certain promos with boosted stats.
These will likely include the new Icons for this year's game, as well as some of our old favourites.
