Benfica vs Inter Milan lineups and latest team news
Benfica
Benfica had a cup game at the weekend and manager, Roger Schmidt, used it as an opportunity to rest several key first team players. Peter Musa, Angel di Maria and Fredrik Aursnes are alle expected to come back into the team for the game against Inter Milan as they look to ensure they at least have Europa League football to look forward to after Christmas.
In terms of absentees, Benfica are without David Neres, Juan Bernat and Alexander Bah. The trio are all nursing long-term injuries and aren't expected to return to action any time soon.
Predicted lineup
Trubin; Aursnes, Silva, Otamendi, Morato – Ausrsnes, Neves; Di Maria, Silva, Mario – Musa
Inter Milan
Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi wasn't blessed with the opportunity to rest on any players at the weekend as his side took on Juventus in a crunch top of the table clash in Serie A. Thankfully for Simone, his team came through that match with not only a valuable point away from home but also with no new injury concerns so a similar lineup is expected on Tuesday night.
Simone is still without Alessandro Bastoni, with the young defender nursing a calf injury, and Benjamin Pavard who will miss the game with a knee problem. Alexis Sanchez is a doubt and will face a late fitness test before kick off.
Predicted lineup
Sommer – Dumfries, Darmian, de Vrij, Acerbi, Dimarco – Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan – Thuram, Martinez
Starting lineups
The official lineups will be announced around 60 minutes before kick off.

Inter Milan
Player to watch: Lautaro Martínez
Lautaro Martínez is currently playing the best football of his career and the Argentinian striker has netted 15 goals in 17 appearances this season across all competitions. Martinez will lead the line for Inter away in Benfica on Wednesday night and will fancy his chances of adding to that tally.
