Belgium and Denmark look set to battle it out for the runners-up spot in League A Group 2 of the Euro 2025 qualifiers and it is the Danes that are in pole position heading into the penultimate round of group games this Friday.
Andrée Jeglertz's team sit two points clear of Belgium and ran out 4-2 winners when the two nations locked horns back in April. A point would probably be enough to earn Denmark a spot in Switzerland next summer as Belgium's final group game is against a Spain side that is yet to drop a single point in qualifying and hammered the Belgian Red Flames 7-0 in April.

Belgium preview: Conceding too many goals
Belgium really needed a win against bottom of the group Czechia when the two teams locked horns last month.
However, the hosts fell behind in the 19th minute and although Jassina Blom equalised for Belgium in the 78th minute, a winning goal failed to materialise.
That result is likely to cost Belgium any chance of qualifying for Euro 2025 even if they do beat Denmark on Friday as they face an almost guaranteed defeat in their final group game against Spain.
Predicted lineup: Lichtfus (GK), Cayman, Deloose, Tysiak, Kees, Vanhaevermaet, Delacauw, Detruyer, Wullaert, De Caigny & Dhont

Denmark preview: Have the better team on paper
The Danes gave a good account of themselves away at Spain last time out but eventually slipped to an expected defeat.
Defender Janni Thomsen scored a goal in each half to hand Denmark a 2-0 lead against Spain but the hosts responded late on with three goals of their own to win the match 3-2.
Andrée Jeglertz will take a few positives from that defeat but knows that his side missed out on a valuable point in that game.
Predicted lineup: Østergaard (GK), Veje, Ballisager, Thøgersen, Holmgaard, Færge, Snerle, Hasbo, Harder, Bruun & Thomsen

Player to watch – Amalie Vangsgaard

The 27-year-old now has eight goals in 24 caps for her country and is the unexpected hero right now as captain Pernille Harder has been expected to provide the goals considering she has found the back of the net 75 times in 152 games for the Scandinavians.
Vangsgaard top scores for Denmark in the Euro 2025 qualifiers
We're backing Vangsgaard to put in another top performance against Belgium on Friday, helping to guide her team to the three points that will see them qualify for Euro 2025.
