Bayern Munich will be looking to avoid a major cup upset when they welcome second-tier Magdeburg to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening for their DFB-Pokal second-round clash.
Both sides progressed to this stage with convincing victories in the opening round, as Bayern recorded a 4-1 win over Osnabruck, while Petrik Sander's men cruised to a 4-0 triumph against Bahlingen.
The German giants will once again be without manager Vincent Kompany after he collapsed while watching a training session at the club's training ground and was taken to hospital.
The Belgian is in a stable condition, but is expected to remain away from the touchline for the coming weeks while he undergoes further examinations and recovers.

Bayern Munich considered asking for Sunday's Bundesliga clash to be postponed following the news that Kompany had collapsed and been taken to hospital, but the club ultimately decided that the best course of action was to “play and be successful”.
The Bavarians, led by assistant manager Aaron Danks, duly delivered a 3-1 victory over Freiburg, with goals from Dayot Upamecano, Serge Gnabry and Michael Olise helping them return to winning ways and reclaim top spot in the table.
Before the match, Bayern supporters unveiled a banner bearing the message ‘Get well soon Vincent – we are by your side', showing their support for the absent manager.
Although Bayern have drawn three of their last five matches and won the other two, they remain unbeaten since their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain in April and are well placed to challenge for a record-extending 22nd DFB-Pokal title.
Bayern cruised through the opening round with a 4-1 away victory over Osnabruck and have continued to register impressive results across all competitions, including a 6-1 home win over RB Leipzig, in which England captain Harry Kane scored on his 100th Bundesliga appearance.
Kane could be rested for Wednesday's cup tie, although the prolific striker may arrive at the Allianz Arena having won the Ballon d'Or, with the Bayern forward heading into the awards ceremony as the bookmakers' favourite.
As for the visitors, Magdeburg travel to Bavaria as significant underdogs, knowing that a victory would represent one of the biggest cup shocks of the season.
Led by Petrik Sander, the 2. Bundesliga side have made a strong start to their campaign and sit fifth after nine matches, having recorded five wins, one draw and three defeats.
Der Club also head into Wednesday's tie on the back of their biggest victory of the season so far, having beaten Karlsruhe 6-1 at home to return to winning ways following their defeat away to Dresden.
Sander's side currently sit two points behind the automatic promotion places as they look to secure a first-ever place in the Bundesliga and build on their encouraging start to the second-tier campaign.
Braces from Falko Michel and Mateusz Zukowski helped Magdeburg secure a 4-0 victory over Bahlingen in the opening round of the DFB-Pokal, earning them a place in the draw for a second-round tie against one of Germany's biggest clubs.
