Bayer Leverkusen will take on Wolfsburg on Saturday, 4 April, in a match that will have an impact on both ends of the Bundesliga table.
The hosts are currently in the midst of an intense battle to finish inside the top four and secure qualification to the 2026/27 edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, the visitors are at serious risk of being relegated to the second tier of German football, and defeat here could see them drift six points away from safety.

Bayer Leverkusen find themselves four points away from the top four, as too many draws (four in their last five league outings) have threatened to derail their hopes of another crack at the Champions League next season.
The 2024 champions will still feel they have a chance of catching RB Leipzig in fourth, and perhaps even Stuttgart in third, too. However, they are going to need to string two or three wins together, and they couldn't have asked for a much easier starter.
Die Werkself have a formidable record against Wolfsburg at the Bay Arena (seven points from the last nine available in this exact fixture) and have caught their opponents at the perfect time.
Wolsburg have cocneded 28 goals in 13 away league matches this season (average of more than two goals per game).
Manager Kasper Hjulmand has plenty of selection issues for this one. The Dane is without Arthur, Lucas Vazquez, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Jarell Quansah, Loic Balde and Martin Terrier due to injuries, while Aleix Garcia is suspended.
For Wolfsburg, it is now a case of do or die as they look to claw their way back above St Pauli into 16th position. While that would still result in a relegation playoff, they would absolutely take that right now.
Dieter Hecking took the reins at the beginning of March, but there has been no new manager bounce as of yet. The new boss has overseen a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim and a 1-0 defeat to Werder Bremen.
Bayer Leverkusen are undefeated in their last eight matches against Wolfsburg.
Hecking will no doubt take encouragement from the fact that Bayer Leverkusen were held to a draw last time out against the only team in the Bundesliga below them, Heidenheim. If they can show a similar level of fight to what their relegation rivals showed, then there could be something in this game for them yet.
Hecking is without a whole host of players this weekend, though, which certainly makes his task harder. Cleiton Santos, Henson Seelt, Kilian Fischer, Rogerio, Bence Dardai and Kevin Pardes are all in the treatment room, while Lovro Majer and Mortiz Jenz are both suspended.
