Bayer Leverkusen find themselves four points away from the top four, as too many draws (four in their last five league outings) have threatened to derail their hopes of another crack at the Champions League next season.
The 2024 champions will still feel they have a chance of catching RB Leipzig in fourth, and perhaps even Stuttgart in third, too. However, they are going to need to string two or three wins together, and they couldn't have asked for a much easier starter.
