Barcelona maintained their perfect start in La Liga with a comfortable 5-0 victory at Valencia over the weekend.

In four competitive fixtures this season, Hansi Flick's men have found the net a whopping 17 times while keeping three clean sheets.

We have to go all the way back to the 2014/15 season for the Blaugrana's last title. They have underperformed by their own standards in recent years, failing to make the knockouts twice in the last five years and only reaching the semi-finals once in their last seven tries.

The Catalan giants will be without the injured Frenkie de Jong (meniscus) and Roony Bardghji (ACL), while Eric Garcia is suspended due to his sending-off in the quarter-final stage of this competition last season against Atletico Madrid.

Raphinha has been in sensational form for the hosts, scoring in his last five appearances across all competitions. The Brazilian is expected to start as he looks to extend his scoring streak.

On the other hand, Feyenoord is coming off a 3-1 win against NEC Nijmegen. The Eredivisie side have been nothing short of impressive in recent months, stringing together a 19-match unbeaten run that stretches back to early March.

Interestingly, while the visitors have not won a competitive home game this season, they have been unstoppable on the road, winning six consecutive away games in all competitions.

Jordan Bos is the only absentee for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side, as the defender is ruled out until November due to a knee injury.

This will be the first encounter between these teams since they met in this competition during the 1974/75 season. Feyenoord have a 7-2-11 win-draw-loss record in 20 competitive clashes with Spanish sides, while Barcelona have an 11-7-2 record in 20 previous meetings with Dutch sides.

Whispers Predicts: Barcelona 4-2 Feyenoord

At 1/10 (1.10), Barcelona are clearly favoured by the bookmakers, which is unsurprising because they have won three of their four competitive games this season by at least three goals, including two five-goal blowouts.

However, Feyenoord have not lost in 19 competitive matches, and while Barcelona should be able to win, this will probably not be a blowout as the odds indicate.

Both teams were on the scoresheet in eight of the visiting team's last nine outings, and this can be backed at 9/10 (1.90).

We also fancy Feyenoord to score first at 10/3 (4.33). The Dutch side drew first blood in six of their last seven fixtures.
