Austria vs France: Football Whispers' Predictions
Austria will be hoping to consolidate second place in Group 1 of the Nations League this Friday when they play host to a winless French side. The visitors have just a point to their name after two games and really need to secure a win in Austria to get their campaign up and running.

France to Win
France have won seven of their 10 previous encounters with Austria over the years, the last of which arrived back in 2009. Austria lost at home to Denmark on Monday night and have suffered two defeats in their last four outings, while France have won four of their last six matches and on paper, have by far the better squad of the two countries.
Both Teams to Score
We're hopeful that this game will provide decent chances for both teams and have backed both teams to score during the 90-minutes. Three of the last four meetings between these two nations produced goals at both ends of the pitch, while five of Austria's last six outings and three of France's last four fixtures have also seen both teams score.

France still searching for their first win in Group 1
Austria couldn't make their home advantage count against Denmark earlier in the week. The visitors took the lead through Hojbjerg in the 28th-minute and held onto that advantage into the halftime break. Schlager got Austria back onto level terms in the 67th-minute with a goal that looked like it might be enough to earn the hosts a share of the spoils. However, with 6-minutes left on the clock, Stryger Larsen tucked the ball home after good work from Eriksen to send Denmark home with all 3pts.
Austria Predicted Lineup: Pentz, Alaba, Trimmel, Posch, Friedl, Laimer, Schlager, Ljubičić, Baumgartner, Seiwald & Kalajdzic
France played a weakened side away at Croatia on Monday but still managed to take the lead in the 52nd-minute through Rabiot. You always felt like France needed a second goal to win the game and that proved to be true as 7-minutes from time, Croatia were awarded a penalty which Kramaric converted to pitch the home side a point.
France Predicted Lineup: Lloris, Hernández, Kimpembe, Pavard, Saliba, Rabiot, Nkunku, Guendouzi, Tchouaméni, Mbappé & Griezmann
