Atletico Mineiro were beaten in each of their last two league matches, conceding eight goals along the way, though they are generally reliable on home soil, where they have lost just once in four assignments this term. The bookies have installed them as 3/4 favourites ahead of Sunday for that reason.
Fortaleza made full use of a one-man advantage to beat Gremio last time out, though they lost two and drew one of their last three away games and they have just a 20% chance of snapping that poor run with a win on Sunday. Last five H2Hs: History favours Atletico
Atletico Mineiro eased to a 3-1 win when they last faced Fortaleza and Atletico have lost only once of their last seven tussles with Sunday’s opponents overall.

Player to watch – Gustavo Scarpa
Gustavo Scarpa has looked a cut above at Atletico Mineiro since moving back to his homeland from English club Nottingham Forest and in nine Serie A appearances this term, the 30-year-old has scored three goals and two assists.

Scarpa to be influential again?
Scarpa has been deployed as a wing back for most of the current campaign and he has chipped in with a goal contribution every 132.8 minutes from that position, which is an excellent return. Scarpa’s ability to turn matches in Atletico Mineiro’s favour could be evident again on Sunday.
