Atalanta vs Napoli prediction: Goals expected

Key stats

  • Napoli have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven matches.
  • Atalanta are undefeated in their last eight Serie A matches.
  • There were fewer than 11 corners in four of the last five matches between the two sides.

Correct score prediction: Atalanta 2-2 Napoli

Raffaele Palladino's side are heading into this match on the back of a 2-0 loss against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, but they are in terrific form in the Serie A at the moment.

The Bergamo side have won three of their last four league games and are undefeated in their last eight. As a result, Atalanta have climbed to seventh in the Serie A table and are aiming for a top-four finish.

Napoli, on the other hand, are third in the table with 50 points from 25 matches, and are undefeated in their last three Serie A games, winning two of them.

Each of the last five matches between the two sides has seen over 2.5 goals, and therefore, we predict a high-scoring 2-2 draw.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Atalanta priced as favourites

  • HOME: 7/5 (2.4) – 41.7%
  • DRAW: 11/5 (3.2) – 31.3%
  • AWAY: 2/1 (3.0) – 33.3%

*Odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

With seven wins and two draws, Atalanta are one of the most in-form teams in 2026, and they are bookies' favourites to win this game.

They have won seven games and scored 20 goals at home, and the bookies have priced them at 7/5 (2.4) as expected winners with 41.7% chances of winning.

Napoli have conceded first in five of their last six games, and Atalanta are expected to score first, and back them to do it at 1/1 (2.0) with 50% chances of landing.

Both teams have scored in each of Napoli's last five matches, and BTTS – Yes at 20/23 (1.87) looks really attractive.

Atalanta preview: Looking to extend their unbeaten run in Serie A

After missing out on direct entry to the last 16 of the Champions League, Atalanta suffered a major setback when they lost 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the playoff.

However, their Serie A form in 2026 has been outstanding, and at home, they are most likely to raise their levels and try to get a positive result.

Giacomo Raspadori is ruled out for one month with a flexor injury, while Charles De Ketelaere was already sidelined by a knee problem.

Predicted lineup: Carnesecchi (GK), Scalvini, Djimsiti, Ahanor, Zappacosta, Ederson, De Roon, Bernasconi, Samardzic, Zalewski & Krstovic

Last five matches

  • 17/02/26: Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Atalanta (UEFA Champions League)
  • 14/02/26: Lazio 0-2 Atalanta (Serie A)
  • 09/02/26: Atalanta 2-1 Cremonese (Serie A)
  • 05/02/26: Atalanta 3-0 Juventus (Coppa Italia)
  • 01/02/26: Como 0-0 Atalanta (Serie A)

Napoli preview: Top four finish now main aim

Antonio Conte's side are occupying the third spot in Serie A, and have already slipped out of the title race. They are 11 points behind Inter Milan, and their title defence is all but over.

At the same time, they are both out of the Champions League and Coppa Italia, and securing a top finish is now their only aim.

Napoli have conceded eight goals in their last four league matches, and that remains a major concern.

Scott McTominay is doubtful with a tendon issue, while Kevin De Bruyne and Frank Anguissa are long-term absentees. Giovanni Di Lorenzo, David Neres, and Amir Rrahmani are also missing due to injuries.

Last five matches

  • 15/02/26: Napoli 2-2 Roma (Serie A)
  • 10/02/26: Napoli 1-1 Como (Coppa Italia) [Como advanced on penalties 7-6]
  • 07/02/26: Genoa 2-3 Napoli (Serie A)
  • 31/01/26: Napoli 2-1 Fiorentina (Serie A)
  • 28/01/26: Napoli 2-3 Chelsea (UEFA Champions League)

Player to watch: Rasmus Hojlund

Hojlund joined Napoli in the summer transfer window from Manchester United on loan, and he is unlikely to return to Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old striker has scored eight goals in Serie A this season in 21 appearances, and recently scored a brace in the 3-2 win over Genoa.
