Arsenal Women have discovered their very best form since the turn of the year, and although too many draws at the beginning of the campaign are likely to cost them domestically, they are still in with a chance of winning the Champions League.
Last year, they became the first English side to win the biggest European competition in women's football in 18 years after coming out on top against Barcelona in an edgy final.
History tells us that retaining this competition is much harder than winning it as a one-off. In fact, no English side has ever retained it in the women's game.
Arsenal have won nine of their last 11 two-legged European ties.
On Tuesday night, Arsenal boss Renee Slegers has several issues to juggle. First and foremost, Steph Catley, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Caitlin Foord are all doubtful due to the fact that they all played in Sydney on Saturday.
To compound matters, Frida Maanum and Leah Williamson are both doubts after missing the West Ham game at the weekend, while Katie Reid and Manuela Zinsberger are confirmed as out.
As for Chelsea, could this be the season that they win their first-ever Women's Champions League title?
Arsenal are playing in their 17th women's Champions League quarter-final - a record shared with Lyon.
The Blues were brilliant during the league phase of the competition and are yet to lose a match in Europe all season. They have also performed better than Arsenal domestically, despite being nine points off the pace themselves.
A seventh consecutive league title win is now highly unlikely so manager Sonia Bompastor may well need to lead the club to European glory to keep hold of her job going into next season.
Bompastor has a similar issue to her opposite number with respect to the Asia Cup. Sam Kerr featured for Australia at the weekend and is a huge doubt for this one, alongside Millie Bright, who has been missing for six weeks with an ankle injury.
Nathalie Bjorn, Niamh Charles, Catarina Macario and Mayra Ramirez remain in the treatment room.
