🔥 Our Hot tip

Under 2.5 goals

Five of Arsenal's last seven games have seen under 2.5 goals.

Arsenal are favourites to progress into a second successive Champions League semi-final as they hold a one-goal lead heading into their quarter-final second-leg clash against Sporting at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Indeed, the Gunners won 1-0 in the first leg in Lisbon, courtesy of a late Kai Havertz winner, but lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in the Premier League last time out to ramp up the pressure at the Emirates following closest title challengers Manchester City's 3-0 win at Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Sporting brushed off their defeat with a 1-0 victory of their own at Estrela in Liga Portugal, but will still be considered underdogs here.

Arsenal come into this game with one eye on a huge clash at City in the Premier League on Sunday.

After losing to Bournemouth and the Cityzens beating Chelsea, the gap is now just six points at the top, and should City win at the weekend and their game in hand, both teams would be level on points.

However, focus must be on the Champions League with Mikel Arteta's side having one foot in the semi-final with their one-goal aggregate lead.

Should they progress, the dream of a first-ever Champions League trophy will still be on.

As for Sporting, they will be hoping to cause an upset and play on Arsenal's apparent wobble at the moment.

The Gunners have lost three of their last four games in all competitions, and should Sporting pull off a shock, they would miss out on a third potential piece of silverware.

The visitors' form has been good outside of their defeat in the first leg, and Arsenal have recently lost at the Emirates when they were favourites to win.

However, the North Londoners will be desperate to turn their fortunes around, and so this will still be a tough task for Sporting.

Whispers predicts: Arsenal 2-0 Sporting

Arsenal are 1/2 favourites to win, and despite their recent slip-ups, we feel inclined to agree given their strong Champions League form.

They kept Sporting out in the first leg, and Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg at the Emirates in the last 16, so BTTS - No at 17/20 is our first pick.

We would also like to explore the total goals market, as interestingly two or fewer goals have been scored four of Arsenal's last five games against Portuguese oppostion.

Under 2.5 goals at 21/20 is therefore another bet we are willing to take.

In terms of potential goalscorers, Havertz was the hero in Lisbon, and also netted against Leverkusen in the last 16.

Havertz to score anytime at 21/10 is our final punt, while our 2-0 scoreline prediction in Arsenal's favour is available at 13/2.

📈 Whispers' Tips

> BTTS - No at 17/20 | Likelihood: Probable

> Under 2.5 goals at 21/20 | Likelihood: Possible

> Havertz to score anytime at 21/10 | Likelihood: Outsider
