Over 2.5 total goals

Three of Arsenal's last five fixtures have produced over 2.5 goals.

Arsenal and Monaco have both made decent starts to this season's new-look Champions League, picking up three wins from their opening five fixtures.

Both clubs have 10 points on the board and we're expecting a close and competitive 90 minutes between the pair but still make the Gunners the clear favourite.

Arsenal vs Monaco prediction: Goals expected at the Emirates

Key Stats

  • Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Monaco's last five matches.
  • Both teams have scored in four of Arsenal's last six fixtures.
  • Four of Monaco's last five outings have ended with both teams scoring.

Monaco made the most of their home advantage on Saturday when they took on Toulouse in Ligue 1.

The first half ended goalless but Monaco took the lead in the 50th minute through Ivory Coast international Wilfried Singo and made sure of the three points late on when Swiss forward Breel Embolo made it 2-0.

Former Gunners Folarin Balogun and both Krepin Diatta and Edan Diop are expected to miss the trip to London this week through injury.

Player to watch: Kai Havertz

Makeshift centre-forward Kai Havertz already has two goals in the Champions League this season and heads into Wednesday's clash with Monaco on the back of three goals in his last seven outings for club and country.

Havertz, 25, has featured in 14 Premier League games this season, all of which were starts, and the German international has chipped in with five goals.

Can Arsenal's German forward fire them to glory?

We're backing Havertz to put in another impressive performance in the Champions League this week, one that could help guide the Gunners to another three points.
