🔥 Our Hot tip

BTTS - Yes

Everton have scored in their last five away games.

Arsenal play in their third competition in as many games as they welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Gunners recently drew 1-1 away at Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their last-16 tie in the Champions League, and last weekend, beat Mansfield Town 2-1 on their travels to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Everton though will provide a stern test having won each of their previous two league matches to rise up to eighth in the table, with the possibility of finishing in a European place and above bitter Merseyside rivals Liverpool for the first time in 13 years still at stake.

Arsenal have been simply formidable this season, demonstrated by the fact that they are still in four competitions and could become the first men's English side to win the quadruple (incidentally Arsenal Women also achieved this accolade).

They have led the Premier League for the majority of the season so far, and face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final in a couple of weeks' time, while also sealing an FA Cup quarter-final place and establishing themselves to be the favourites to do the same in the Champions League in the past week.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Arsenal have scored three penalties in the Premier League this season.

Everton are one of two teams that the Gunners play in preparation for the cup final and will be hoping to build their winning mentality back after being held in Leverkusen in midweek.

In short, Arsenal are on for a potentially monumental season where they could end a 22-year wait for a Premier League title, and to add some extra spice into the mix, their fierce North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur could also be relegated in the same season, something that has never happened to Spurs in the Premier League era.

Everton will also know about potential bragging rights this season as they hope to finish above Liverpool in the Premier League for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Everton's last three defeats have been by the odd goal.

The Toffees are five points and two places behind the Reds ahead of this matchday, but with nine matches still to play, there is everything to play for.

David Moyes has well and truly steadied the ship after successive seasons of fighting relegation, and he will hope to get one over a manager that he himself managed at Everton in his playing days in Mikel Arteta.

An excellent away record away from their new home of the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season suggests that the Toffees could pull off an upset, and get them closer to dreaming of a first European campaign since 2017-18.

Whispers predicts: Arsenal 2-1 Everton

Arsenal have been installed as heavy 19/50 favourites to win with bet365, but we are expecting a close game given Everton's impressive away record in the Premier League and the fact they have won their last two games.

The Gunners have only kept one clean sheet in six matches in all competitions, and so BTTS - Yes at 11/10 looks worth backing.

We are expecting a physical battle with both teams possessing a big threat from set-pieces - Arsenal have scored the most goals from corners (14) but did concede from one against Leverkusen, so the corners market could be worth exploring.

The Gunners rank fourth in the division in terms of total corners taken at 173, averaging nearly six per game, but with Everton likely to want to exert their own physicality from them too, we feel that backing a total of Over 10.5 corners at 6/4 is slightly ambitious, but worth a punt.

In terms of an outside bet, Arsenal were awarded a penalty against Leverkusen that Kai Havertz dispatched, while Viktor Gyokeres also struck from the spot to give the Gunners a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture.

While Arsenal can be backed to score a penalty at 9/2, we feel happy to just punt on A penalty in the match at 3/1.

In conclusion, we feel that the hosts will just edge this one, and a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the Gunners is available at 17/2.
