Bayer Leverkusen have only lost one of their five Champions League away matches this season.

Arsenal's surge towards a historic quadruple continues on Tuesday night when they welcome Bayer Leverkusen to the Emirates Stadium.

The match is leg two of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie, which hangs in the balance following the 1-1 draw in Germany last week.

Arsenal had a weekend to remember in the Premier League, beating Everton courtesy of two late goals and then watching West Ham take points off Manchester City.

Those two results have left the Gunners with a nine-point lead in the title race, which could allow them to focus more of their attention on their cup duties, starting this Tuesday against Leverkusen.

Mikel Arteta's men are a tad fortunate to come into this one with the tie all square. They were seemingly heading towards a 1-0 defeat last week until they were awarded a soft penalty in stoppage time.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Bayer Leverkusen have lost their previous six Champions League last-16 ties.

Although the Gunners have the Carabao Cup final at the weekend, Arteta will go full strength here and worry about their Wembley showdown afterwards. There are doubts over the availability of Martin Odegaard, Jurrien Timber and Leandro Trossard, while Mikel Merino is definitely out.

As for their German opponents, the task at hand on Tuesday won't feel overly daunting, considering they were the better team for the majority of the first leg last week.

Yes, playing away at the Emirates Stadium is a different matter altogether, but there will be nerves in the Arsenal ranks, and Leverkusen should look to take full advantage of that.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Arsenal have lost just one of their last 22 European games at the Emirates Stadium.

Kasper Hjulmand's side recorded an impressive 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich at the weekend, a result that means they have now lost just one match since the middle of January.

That draw with Bayern didn't come without casualties, however, and Aleix Garcia and Martin Terrier are both now doubts for the trip to London. Mark Flekken, Athur, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Lucas Vazquez and Loic Bade have all been ruled out.

Whispers predicts: Arsenal 1-0 Bayer Leverkusen

Of Arsenal's last four victories in all competitions, only one has been by a margin of two goals or more, and that was only because Jordon Pickford left his goal vacant in the dying minutes at the weekend. Bayer Leverkusen +1.5 has been priced at 17/20 at Bet365.

Neither of these two teams are particularly easy on the eye, so don't expect a goalfest in North London on Tuesday night. Under 2.5 goals has been priced at 6/5.

Viktor Gyokeres broke the deadlock against Everton on Saturday, and he is priced at 10/11 to score anytime with Bet365.
