Only one of the last four H2Hs have seen both teams score

Both Arsenal and AC Milan's pre-season preparations get underway at Wednesday lunchtime when they prepare to face each other at the National Stadium in Singapore. Both teams will be hoping to have a much better season in 2025/26, and a good start here can help them on their way.

Indeed, Arsenal finished as runners-up in the Premier League for a third successive season, and yet again without any silverware to show for their efforts. Meanwhile, a Supercoppa Italiana win did little to overshadow Milan's dismal showing in Serie A, where they finished in eighth place and without any European football to contend with for the upcoming campaign.

Arsenal vs AC Milan prediction: Gunners to get off to good start?

Key stats

  • Arsenal finished the 2024/25 season unbeaten in their previous three games, winning the last two.
  • Milan have lost two of their last three matches in total across all competitions.
  • Arsenal have won the previous three H2Hs by a 2+ goal margin.

Correct score prediction: Arsenal 2-0 AC Milan

Given the superior strength in their squad and recent H2H record, Arsenal should be favourites to kick off their pre-season tour of Asia with a win. The Gunners are usually very defensively solid, having conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League for a second successive season, so we also fancy them to get a clean sheet here.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Arsenal fancied by bookmakers for victory

  • HOME: 4/5 (1.60) – 55.6%
  • DRAW: 11/4 (3.75) – 26.7%
  • AWAY: 27/10 (3.70) – 27.0%

As shown by the implied probabilities, Arsenal are favourites with bookmakers to claim victory. Interestingly, an AC Milan win is rated marginally above a draw in terms of likely outcomes.

Most recent H2Hs: Arsenal aiming for four in a row

As mentioned before, Arsenal have won the previous three H2Hs, and will be aiming for four in a row on Wednesday. They have also only conceded one goal in those matches, which suggests that the Gunners could also be looking at securing another potential clean sheet.

Following the departures of both Thomas Partey and Jorginho, Arsenal needed to address the defensive midfield position in the summer transfer window. They have done so with the signing of Martin Zubimendi, who could make his debut against Milan after impressing in La Liga with Sociedad and helping Spain win Euro 2024.
