Whisper+ Analysis:

Authenticity (4/5): Arsenal make Moise Kean contact

Arsenal are among three Premier League clubs that have made contact over a potential deal to sign Kean ahead of the 2025-26 season.

That is according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who should be clued up with the latest developments in the Serie A transfer market.

Value (3.5/5): Kean release clause revealed

Kean has a contract with Fiorentina until the summer of 2029, although his current deal includes a €52m (£44m) release clause.

Such a fee could prove to be value for money if Kean can replicate the form he has shown in Serie A this season, having racked up 15 goals in 26 appearances in the Italian top flight.

Suitability (4/5): Focal point in Arteta's plans

Kean would add to Mikel Arteta's goalscoring options if he were to make the move to North London, while he would also provide a focal point in Arsenal's attacking play – something the Gunners have often lacked this season.

The Italy international could help complement Arsenal's other attacking options, including Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri.

Upgrade? (3/5): Concerns over Premier League past

Kean would certainly bolster Arsenal's depth in the number nine position, having seen their lack of options exposed by injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

However, there may be concern about whether Kean can produce his best form in the Premier League, especially after he experienced a tough time as an Everton player. The Italian netted just two goals in 32 top-flight appearances in a forgettable stint with the Toffees.

With that said, his last appearance in an Everton shirt took place in August 2021, and he appears to have improved considerably since his Goodison Park departure.

Logic (3.5/5): Arsenal need forward reinforcements

Arsenal will in the market for a striker this summer, and Kean's impressive form makes him an obvious target to consider. However, it is unclear how high Kean features on Arsenal's striker shortlist, with the Gunners also said to be targeting Newcastle United's Alexander Isak and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.

Whisper+ Verdict: 18/25

If Arsenal are unable to land Isak or Sesko, Kean seems like a suitable alternative option to solve their glaring striker issues. However, the Gunners should be wary of rival interest from Newcastle United and West Ham United.
