Mid-table Argentinos Juniors play host to the Liga Profesional's bottom side Central Cordoba on Wednesday and we're bringing you our predictions for the game.
The home side have picked up six points from their opening four matches but could move comfortably into the top ten with a win on Wednesday.
Central Cordoba are the only team in the Liga Profesional without a single point on the board from their opening four fixtures which doesn't bode well ahead of a trip to the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona where Argentinos have won their last four matches in all competitions

Argentinos Juniors preview: Strong at home
Argentinos Juniors lost their last league game away at Belgrano 1-0 but recovered in the Copa Argentino, beating Atletico Rafaela 1-0 last week. Wednesday's hosts currently sit 12th in the Liga Profesional table, four points behind the league leaders.
Alan Lescano has impressed so far this season with eight goals and the forward will be rubbing his hands in anticipation at the opportunity of taking on what has been a poor Central Cordoba defence so far this season.
Predicted lineup: Rodríguez (GK), Galván, Godoy, Montiel, Vega, Santamaría, Oroz, Viveros, Lescano, Gamarra & Gondou

Central Cordoba preview: Lost opening four
Central Cordoba lost 4-2 in their own backyard against Talleres de Cordoba in their last outing and remain the only Liga Profesional side that is jet to secure a single point so far this season.
The visitors' goal difference of minus eight is also the worst in the division and the fact that Lucas Gonzalez's side have failed to score in three of their last six matches in all competitions doesn't bode well ahead of a tricky trip to Argentinos on Wednesday.

Player to watch – Alan Lescano
Alan Lescano is enjoying his breakthrough season with Argentinos Juniors having scored eight goals in 20 league games in 2024.
The 22-year-old, who was bought from Gimnasia La Plata in 2023, failed to score in nine appearances last season but has developed well over the last year and now looks set to have a bright future ahead of him.
Leading from the front for Argentinos
While we're not predicting a lot of goals to be scored on Wednesday, we could see Lescano adding to his own personal tally as Argentinos defeat their struggling guests. Lescano has scored in three of Argentinos Juniors' last six home games across all competitions, so you can see why he's our player to watch against Central Cordoba.
