Sint-Truidense preview: Looking to Japan for inspiration
De Kanaries finished last season in ninth place and head coach Christian Lattanzio has added a few new faces to the team for the 2024/25 campaign.
Sint-Truidense have six Japanese players in their side and clearly the club is trying to develop these players in order to sell them on for profit.
Ryotaro Ito made 36 appearances in the First Division A last season, scoring seven goals after making the move from Albrirex Niigata in 2023.
Predicted lineup: Coppens (GK), Godeau, Ogawa, Van Helden, Belaïd, Yamamoto, Fujita, Dumont, Ito, Zahiroleslam & Bertaccini

Player to watch – Kasper Dolberg
Danish international forward Kasper Dolberg really enjoyed his first season with Anderlecht, one that seemingly reignited his stagnating career.
The 26-year-old spent the previous season on loan at Sevilla and Hoffenheim where he amassed 22 appearances in all competitions and scored just two goals.
Puertas was an assist-machine for Union SG last season
However, Anderlecht took a chance on the Nice striker and it paid off big time with Dolberg scoring 15 goals in 39 league games last season and creating an effective partnership with his countryman Anders Dreyer.
We have selected Dolberg as our player to watch in Saturday's game against Sint-Truidense as he offers goals and creativity in the final third.
