Anderlecht will take on Porto in the Europa League on Thursday, 28 November as the league phase of the competition enters its second half.
Anderlecht come into the match after picking up ten points from their first four matches and will feel that they only need a couple more to guarantee a place in the knockout rounds.
The match is more important to Porto who have only picked up four points so far. If they are to make it through to the next round, they could really do with picking up a win in Belgium.
As part of our latest round of Europa League betting tips, here is our Anderlecht vs Porto prediction.

Anderlecht vs Porto prediction: The host to continue their strong European form
Key stats
- Anderlecht have won every home match in the Europa League so far this season.
- Porto have lost their last three matches in all competitions.
- Five of Anderlecht's last six matches have produced at least three goals.
Correct score prediction: Anderlecht 2-1 Porto
Porto have suffered two defeats by this scoreline in the last couple of weeks, including in their most recent Europa League away match against Lazio. Meanwhile, Anderlecht have scored two or more goals in each of their last five home matches in all competitions so it would be unusual if they didn't hit that tally on Thursday.
Pre-game odds and win probability: The hosts go in as underdogs
- HOME: 2/1 (3.00) – 33.3%
- DRAW: 13/5 (3.60) – 27.8%
- AWAY: 23/20 (2.15) – 46.5%
*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
The Anderlecht vs Porto odds suggest that we are perhaps being naive in our prediction of an Anderlecht win. Ladbrokes have given Anderlecht just a 33.3% chance of coming out on top while Porto have been given a 46.5% chance of walking away with the three points. All this means is that there is brilliant value on a home win.

Most recent H2Hs: A first meeting in 24 years
Thursday night will mark the first time that Anderlecht and Porto have faced each other since 2000 when they met in the Champions League playoff round. In that tie, Anderlecht won 1-0 at home before drawing 0-0 in Belgium to qualify for the group stages of the competition.
Anderlecht preview: Tournament dark horses?
Nobody predicted that Anderlecht would be a force to be reckoned with in the Europa League this season but their form in the competition is becoming too hard to ignore. A win here would solidify their position in the top eight and give them a great chance of progressing straight through the Round of 16.

Porto preview: Tournament underachievers?
On the contrary, Porto were tipped as potential winners of this competition at the start of the season but things haven't gone to plan so far. If they can pick up a big three points in this tough away match then they will find themselves back on track but a loss would put them in real trouble.

Player to watch: Kasper Dolberg

Kasper Dolberg has been around European football for a while now but he seems to have found a home in Belgium with Anderlecht. The Danish forward scored 15 goals in his debut season for the club last year but is on course to smash that figure out of the park this time around. So far this season, he has already scored 14 goals in all competitions, making him a man that Porto will fear on Thursday.
