Anderlecht to win to nil

Anderlecht have kept three clean sheets in their last four games

Hacken and Anderlecht will face off in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League (UEL) second round qualifying clash on Thursday evening. The first leg finished 1-0 to Anderlecht, so the Belgian side boast a slight advantage travelling to Sweden.

Anderlecht's last outing was a thumping 5-2 victory at home to Westerlo, so they certainly come into this game high on confidence. Meanwhile, Hacken were humiliated 6-1 at home by Djurgarden, so both teams come into this one in contrasting form.

Hacken vs Anderlecht prediction: Visitors to sail safely through?

Key stats

  • Hacken are now winless in four games in total in all competitions.
  • Anderlecht are now unbeaten in eight matches across all competitions, winning their last four.
  • Hacken have scored just once in their previous three matches.

Correct score prediction: Hacken 0-2 Anderlecht

Given the contrasting forms of both sides, we feel inclined to back the visitors here. Three of their previous four victories have been to nil as well, suggesting that they could come away with another clean sheet, as in the first leg.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Anderlecht favourites with bookmakers

  • HOME: 23/10 (3.30) – 30.3%
  • DRAW: 13/5 (3.60) – 27.8%
  • AWAY: 21/20 (2.05) – 48.8%

As shown by the implied probabilities, Anderlecht are favourites with bookmakers to win the game in normal time, and therefore safely progress through into the next round. Interestingly, a Hacken victory on home soil is rated slightly above a draw in terms of the chances of it happening.

Kasper Dolberg made the difference, as he so often does for Anderlecht, by scoring the only goal of the game in the first leg and give his team an advantage heading into the second against Hacken. In the 2024/25 campaign, the Danish striker managed a total of 24 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions, and remains one of Anderlecht's biggest threats in the forward line.
