Willem II preview: Winless in 11 Eredivisie games

Willem II made the trip to Heerenveen last time out where they got off to a poor start, conceding after just 11 minutes.

The hosts doubled their advantage before the break and added a third goal in the 66th minute, which meant that Jesse Bosch's 75th-minute goal was nothing more than a consolation for Willem II as the scoreline finished 3-1.

Raffael Behounek is suspended for the hosts this weekend, while Boris Lambert, Mickael Tirpan and Dani Mathieu could all miss out due to injury.

Predicted lineup: Didillon-Hodl (GK), Schouten, Pivas, St. Jago, Sigurgeirsson, Lachkar, Bosch, Meerveld, Bokila, Joosten & Doodeman

Player to watch: Kenneth Taylor

Kenneth Taylor is possibly Ajax's most influential player this season and has continued to develop well since breaking into the first team on a regular basis in the 2022/23 campaign.

Taylor has chipped in with nine goals and six assists from midfield, making him the club's top scorer in the Eredivisie so far this season, providing a goal and an assist last time out against Breda.

Taylor has 15 goal involvements in this season's Eredivisie

We're excited to see how Taylor performs this weekend against a struggling Willem II side and wouldn't be shocked to see the midfielder add to his goals and/or his assist tally.
