Out of all the sportsbook apps I’ve tried, which are all available in my area, FanDuel stands out for having an excellent user experience. Especially when compared to some of its competitors, like BetMGM and BetRivers, the interface on Fanduel looks much cleaner and more modern.
I love that the app has the option to turn on dark mode. This is much more comfortable on the eyes, and I wish all bookmaker apps included this.

If you want to know how to do parlays on the Fanduel app, it’s easy. Select the sport and match-up you want, choose from bets like the spread, total, or money line, and you’ll see the odds for the parlay below. If you want to add legs from other games to your parlay, you can, but not all sports can be combined, so keep that in mind.
While parlays can be great because you are betting a little to win a lot potentially, they aren’t great in terms of the mathematical odds you get (probability of hitting versus potential payout). They can be fun, and that’s part of why people bet on parlays, but keeping them in perspective is good.
Design
I loved FanDuel’s design, and it’s one of the main reasons why I prefer it over some of its competitors. When it comes down to it, I choose the sportsbook that offers the best odds on the bet I want to make, but when they’re the same, I tend to opt for FanDuel.
The user experience is crisp, and the app very rarely has bugs or crashes. Everything I need is visible and accessible right from the home screen. FanDuel has leaned on their years of experience as the Fanduel fantasy app, which shows through in the sportsbook app. It’s refined to a tee.
Live betting: one of my favorite gig
FanDuel has a dedicated ‘Live Now’ button on the home screen. At the top, there are tabs dividing the sporting events that are live at the moment. I like this setup, but I didn’t like how long some of the bets stayed locked until I could bet on them. Some of the other sportsbook apps I use only keep wagers locked for a few seconds. FanDuel seems to be a little slower in opening these bets up after locking them.
Other than that, the performance of the live betting is great. At some times during peak evening hours, content can load slower than usual, but I’d say FanDuel is still ahead of many of its competitors despite that.

FanDuel has almost everything you can ask for in a sports betting app. But if you’ve never used it before, here are a few things you should keep in mind:

Here’s a bet I placed on a UFC fight: Edson Barboza vs. Lerone Murphy. I chose that it would end on points and got odds of -115. I wagered $5, and the return is $9.35. Placing the bet only took seconds and was easy enough for first-time users. With a bet like this, a new user can qualify for the $150 in bonus bets as long as the initial bet wins.

Final Verdict on the FanDuel App
I found FanDuel to be the best US sports betting app available. It has a clean interface, is responsive, performs well, and offers great odds overall. I actually preferred using the app to the desktop site. Once I’d gotten used to using FanDuel as an app, I felt comfortable with where all of the features and buttons were and found myself defaulting to the app, even when I was at my desk.
The occasional performance issues during peak times weren’t a major issue for me, and although the app suddenly logged me out a few times throughout my time testing it, it wasn’t a big deal. No sportsbook app is perfect, but FanDuel’s app is probably as close as it gets.
That’s not to say that FanDuel will always offer the best odds on every bet or that it caters to every type of sports fan, but it does a great job for the everyday sports bettor.
