Trabzonspor preview: Appear to be lacking match fitness
Trabzonspor have looked slightly sluggish throughout their Europa League qualifying campaign and that spilled over into their opening league game of the season away at Sivasspor.
That game ended goalless and it arrived just days after the Turkish side had lost at home against Rapid Vienna. Two games without a goal and a tricky trip to Austrian on Thursday evening means that Trabzonspor will have to up their game if they are to make it through to the Europa League play-offs.

Player to watch – Guido Burgstaller
Rapid Vienna's 35-year-old striker Guido Burgstaller top scores in qualifying for the Europa League with three goals and will be looking to add to his tally against Trabzonspor on Thursday.
Since resigning for Rapid Vienna in 2022, Burgstaller has scored 34 league goals in 69 appearances and all the signs in pre-season suggest that the veteran striker will score plenty of goals in the 2024/25 campaign.
Rapid's veteran striker has three goals in qualifying
After setting up the only goal of the first leg against Trabzonspor, we're excited to see how Burgstaller performs in front of his own fans this week as Rapid look to book their place in the Europa League play-offs.
