Trinidad and Tobago to win with room to spare
The fact French Guiana advanced in these qualification games without playing isn't necessarily a perk; it means they haven't played a game for so long with their last match coming back in late 2019. Trinidad and Tobago have been playing; they've been in good form too meaning confidence will be high. They are unbeaten in the last five matches and whist they've drawn a couple, the three wins they've recorded have come at a combined score of 11-1. Trinidad and Tobago have had breathing space in all three of those wins; we can't see this match being any different.
A blistering attacking display coming up
Not only do we think Trinidad and Tobago will run out comfortable winners but we think it could potentially get a little ugly for French Guiana too. Trinidad and Tobago hit six past Montserrat; we're not convinced this match will see quite that much of a mauling but the two teams have met twice in the last decade with French Guiana conceding four goals in both occasions. With a spring in their step after a good run of form, Trinidad and Tobago will come out and attack the jugular from the off. That will spell goals.
Trinidad and Tobago to bag perfect result with clean sheet
The last of our tips is, again, backing Trinidad and Tobago to win. This time though, we are making the prediction that they'll get the all important win with a clean sheet firmly in place as well. They conceded last time out but it was just the second goal they've let in during the past five matches. French Guiana have failed to score in three of their last four games too. Given we've already detailed why we expect Trinidad and Tobago to win, we think the add ‘to nil' element carries decent value as opposed to going down the ‘BTTS – No' route.
Trinidad and Tobago vs French Guiana: What are the best odds?
French Guiana's dream will be over
With a place at the Gold Cup at stake, it is fair to say Trinidad and Tobago have struck form at the right time. They are unbeaten in five, scoring goals and not conceding many either. It's a good combination. What XI starts the match might be interesting though. Reon Moore started on the bench vs Montserrat but in his 24 minute cameo grabbed a brace; he could come into the starting lineup. Beyond that, expect more of the same. French Guiana don't have too much relevant form to read into if we're being honest. They've not played a game in 18 months. Their so-called better players are at the back in the shape of Ludovic Baal and Gary Marigard; they're not getting any younger though and will be up against it here.
