The latest Christian Pulisic AC Milan news

European champions toppled in NYC and Chicago

The greats of Europe continue to provide a memorable spectacle in the United States, and as part of a series of exhibitions across the country, AC Milan have taken on Manchester City and Real Madrid over the past week. Even though Pulisic only played a total of 36 minutes across those games, it has proven to be the perfect tonic for the United States' poor performance at the most recent Copa America, with the Rossoneri emerging victorious in both games.

On July 27, AC Milan edged a 3-2 thriller against current English champions and 2023 Champions League final winners Manchester City in New York. They then touched down at Soldier Field and ran out 1-0 victors over the current Spanish champions and kings of Europe Real Madrid.

While the skeptics might point out that these are just exhibition bouts, with Real Madrid also missing two of our top-five most famous footballers on the day, it will surely do AC Milan's morale – not just Pulisic's – the world of good, as they look to take the Serie A title from hated rivals Inter Milan next season.

July 2, 2024: USMNT bow out of Copa America

Despite having host status, the United States saw their Copa America journey cut short at the group stage, following a 2-0 loss to Uruguay in Kansas City. It's a sad turn of events after the USMNT began the 2024 edition of Copa America so promisingly, with Pulisic registering a goal and an assist in the States' opener against Bolivia, sealing a 2-0 victory.

But it would all go very wrong in their second outing, with a shock 2-1 defeat to rank outsiders Panama clearly affecting morale for the worse. Pulisic was unable to work his magic again, despite playing in every minute of that clash, as he did in the fateful loss to Uruguay four days later.

June 24, 2024: A winning start for the Stars and Stripes

The USMNT got their Copa America campaign off to a winning start, beating Bolivia 2-0 in Arlington, TX after going for the jugular immediately. Pulisic grabbed the first goal inside just three minutes of play, collecting the ball out on the left flank via a short flag kick. He was granted ample time and space to curl an effort past Guillermo Viscarra and join Brian McBride as the USMNT's fifth-highest scorer.

Pulisic then turned provider shortly before the interval, setting up Folarin Balogun with a great ball, giving him the ideal amount of time to switch to his left and fire into the opposite corner.
