Sebastian Prödl

Sebastian Prodl is an Austrian international defender who plays for . Born in Graz on 21st June 1987, Prodl began his career at hometown club Sturm Graz with the ‘B’ team before making his senior debut in December 2006. After almost 50 first-team appearances he was signed by Werder Bremen in July 2008, where he won the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) in his first season; starting in final 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen. During seven years in Germany, the powerful centre-half was a losing finalist against Shakhtar Donetsk in the 2009 UEFA Cup, was an unused substitute in the 2010 German Cup final defeat to Bayern Munich and featured in two UEFA Champions League campaigns. At the end of his contract, he signed for Watford as a free agent in July 2015. Prodl has over 50 caps for Austria and featured at UEFA Euro 2008 and 2016.
