Sardar Azmoun

Sardar Azmoun, is an Iranian forward, born 1st January 1995, who plays for Zenit St Petersburg. Azmoun began his career with the Iranian club Sepahan in 2011. In 2013 Azmoun became the youngest Iranian player to move abroad when he moved to Russia to play for Rubin Kazan. Azmoun’s talent was immediately evident, but he failed to gain enough playing time in his first two seasons at Rubin and in February 2015 was loaned out to Rostov. In two seasons at Rostov he became a major star of the Russian Football Premier League, as he was a major part of Rostov’s run to the UEFA Champions League group stage in 2016. Rostov made his move permanent in the summer of 2016.
