N'Golo Kante is a professional French footballer born on March 29, 1991 in Paris. He plays as a central or defensive midfielder for Chelsea. Kante started his career JS Suresnes at the age of 8 and he remained with that club for an entire decade.
In 2010, Kante moved to Boulogne and played in their youth team for the next couple of years. He made his debut for the team in the last game of the season but his team was relegated to the third-tier competition. Kante was a regular first-team member for Boulogne the next season, missing just one league game.
Kante moved to Caen in 2013, which was in Ligue 2 at the time. He helped the team gain promotion to the top-tier league and played one more year at the club before he made transfer news for moving to Leicester City. The struggling side that barely escaped relegation from the Premier League was turned into an unlikely champion thanks in large part to Kante.
His command of midfield and control of the tempo earned him worldwide recognition and a transfer to Chelsea after just one year at Leicester. The French midfielder is still at Chelsea and in his time with the club he won another Premier League title in 2017, one FA Cup in 2018 and UEFA Europa League in 2019.
Kante also has a nice assortment of individual awards, including being named Premier League Player of the Season in 2017 and PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2016. He was also nominated for Ballon d’Or on two occasions.
The midfielder made his debut for the France national team in 2016 and immediately made a huge impact. He helped his team reach the finals of the Euro Cup in 2016 and win the 2018 World Cup.
