Nathan Thompson

Born on 9th November 1990, in Chester, Nathan Thompson is an English central defender who plays for Peterborough United. A graduate for the Swindon Town academy, Thompson is the definition of a home grown player made good as he made his league debut in November 2010 before going on to be named captain in 2014 aged just 24. The resolute centre-half made a real senior breakthrough during the 2012/13 season when he made 26 league appearances, becoming a regular in the side from thereon. Two years later he led the team out at Wembley for the League One play-off final, however the day would ultimately end in disappointment as Thompson limped out of a 4-0 defeat to Preston North End after just five minutes of the match.
