Miguel Almirón

Miguel Almirón is a Paraguayan midfielder, born on the 10th February 1994, who plays for Newcastle United. He made his professional debut in 2013 for Cerro Porteno, and later that year was part of the team – albeit without much playing time – which won the 2013 Clausura championship. In 2015, he won his second league title with Cerro, before moving to Argentine club Lanús in August that year for US$2.5m. A year later, he played a starring role in Lanús’ second ever Argentine league title.
