Max Gradel

Max Gradel is an attacking midfielder for Toulouse. Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on 30th November 1987, Gradel moved to London via Paris in 2004 – and was spotted by Leicester City scouts while playing college football. After a loan spell at Bournemouth in 2007, the diminutive but speedy winger returned to Leicester before transferring to Championship side Leeds United for two seasons between 2009 and 2011 before moving to Ligue 1 club St Etienne – winning a Coupe de la Ligue (French League Cup) in 2012/13 before returning for a second spell with Bournemouth for £8.5m in August 2015. Gradel was part of the Ivory Coast squad at the 2014 World Cup and the side that lifted the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015.
