Mariusz Pawelec

Born on 14th April 1986, Mariusz Pawelec is a Polish international defender who currently plays for Slask Wroclaw. The combative central defender joined Slask Wroclaw from Gornik Leczna in July 2008 – making more than 200 appearances during his first eight years with the club. Pawelec was an Ekstraklasa champion in 2011/12 and a Polish Cup winner in 2012/13, and has featured in three UEFA Europa League campaigns plus UEFA Champions League qualifying matches. Pawelec was first capped by Poland in December 2007 in an international friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
